Hi ,
Yes we've all heard this phrase and what does it really mean and how does it relate to inner peace?
Well it's all about you:)
We each have our own place of flow.
Each of us has our own interests and passions - things that
- bring us joy,
- excites us,
- makes us happy just by thinking about it,
- connects with our own quirky unique interests
You'll know your place of flow as when you are engaged in it - times passes without you even knowing - in facts hours can go by.
Something within you knows this is your happy place - you might even say you're at one with your soul at this point - no separation between your authentic self and what you are doing/being and thinking.
This is also where you can experience profound inner peace - its an expression of the true you. No separation between your authentic self and who you are being to cause any inner conflict - this is what often leads to a lack of inner peace.
So how do you know yours?
Reflecting for a moment as to what in your day was close to this feeling of flow, maybe what you got excited by.
Paying attention to your own heart and its stirrings will give you all the clues you need:)
We all have these 'stirrings':)
Take a moment right now to reflect...
Pay attention in your day to your natural responses - what makes you smile?
What gives you a happy feel inside, causes excitement?
We can consciously create these conditions more often for ourselves - life is not random we can create it - bit by bit, more and more.
It is joyous and peaceful to find out what are your flow experiences and create more of those for yourself. it is time well spent to reflect and then create these flow opportunities for yourself.
Well, as it turns out for me - it is about the joy of being in the body and stretching and being connected with my inner being.
As we slow and relax and open to reflecting we become more aware of our inner stirrings that give us clues.
And yes the first step is often to relax - softening, allowing ourselves to settle to really notice.
Come on Thursday at 4:30 PDT to Somatic Stretch® class - this will give you that opportunity to slow down and relax and perhaps allow you to 'hear' your own inner stirrings.
Check out this link for more info about Somatic Stretch® and click here to register for our Thursday Class. The only prep is loose comfortable clothing and a couple blankets/pillows for props to increase support and relaxation. Some do it in a chair as these exercises can be adapted.
Gratitude for your interest in inner peace -
May you find your 'flow' and create some space and time for you for this week.
May peace be with you,
Wendy
