Hey there ,

Welcome back to my monthly newsletter! I hope everyone has had a great month. This one went by a little too fast for me, but alas. Without going into too much detail, I've been going through some mental health issues, and I got sick again this month, so it put me in a bit of a setback. I'm doing alright now, though. I've had to take a break from streaming and focus on myself for a bit. I'm probably going to focus more on my socials for September and work on making a regular posting schedule. Here's a few things I got around to this month, though!

Monthly Coffee shop review

Cody and I have been starting to adventure into town to discover fun coffee shops we haven't been to yet. On the Rise is a bakery and coffee shop combo in Roanoke, VA, filled to the brim with delicious pastries, breads, and sandwiches. It was a real treat to finish off this month of August. I also couldn't help myself and took a loaf of sourdough home with us for the week.

I can't wait to see what shop we discover next!

Playing around with animations

For months, I've been scouring the internet in search of the best program for storyboarding/animation, and I think I've finally found it! It's called Callipeg, an animation program made by Enoben Studio.

So far, it's been pretty decent. It does have some bugs if you're using it on a PC, but it works perfectly on my tablet. I created some quick, simple animations below of some of my original characters. (I'm not sure if they'll play in the email, but I'll probably post them on my socials later once they're finished.)

Anyways, I'll probably dive into this more once I get more time.

Beginning of my Fall Collection

I've started to create some fall stickers, and I'm very happy with how this first sheet turned out. I was going for all the classic things you'd find in fall, with a hint of coziness. It's my favorite vibe.

I have three more sheets I would like to work on this month. Hopefully, I can get them all up and in my store before October comes.

Goals for September

My main goal this month is to get my Etsy shop up and running and to have my packaging squared away so I can start shipping things out. Another goal I have is to start maintaining a weekly posting schedule on my socials. I'm working on being more comfortable posting and getting myself out there, but it's something that has to be done to grow my business.

Even though I've had a challenging month, it's amazing how fast everything is coming together. I'm super excited to keep going on this journey! I'll talk to you all again at the beginning of spooky month~
