Hey !
Aaaaah, I'm so excited! I just got back my edits for Guarded by the Snake and my editor literally said this was my best book to date. Obviously, this is one woman's opinion and I will be anxiously awaiting your review once the book is live - but it just made me so happy. Readers loving my books make me happy 🧡
Speaking of Monster Security Agency, Eden Ember's Guarded by the Chimera is live and available in KU (I checked ;) You can grab it from Amazon right now - click here to go straight to the book.
Monster Security Agency
If you haven't started this series yet, I'll just give you a quick background. I collaborate on it with three wonderful authors: Cassie Alexander, Eden Ember, and Cara Wylde, and each of us writes her own books. The theme unifying the series is Monster Security Agency, which is a global private security business with many branches - this means things might be done differently from book to book.
The world of this series is a contemporary one - but with monsters. They've always been here, living among humans out in the open.
Two books are currently out, and two more are coming this January. The preorders for the next round are up, and the books will go live in July. You can explore all the available titles and preorders on Amazon here.
Take a look at the covers for the books in the July round <3
Guarded by the Snake will be live soon!
Next week, it's my turn. My book goes live and releases into KU on Wednesday, January 24, and I'm doing the final tweaks after getting the manuscript back from my editor. This book was supposed to be 40k words - so around 180 pages - but it's 70k words. It's a full novel, and all the better for it, in my opinion. (Though of course, you'll be the one to judge that!)
If I can tell you a little secret, I keep rereading the spice scenes from this book (there are 4 very meaty ones). They are just so good - I mean, if you like that sort of thing - meaning double D, stretching, talking her through it, working it in, massive size difference, tail play, DP, DVP*(I'll include a little explanation for the acronyms at the bottom of this email), and a dirty talking bodyguard MMC who completely loses it and calls the FMC, who is his principal, all sorts of sweet, loving names that she thinks mean nothing.
Oh, and he's a snakeman and just holds her down and arranges her like he wants because he is so much bigger and stronger than her. And she's loves it - wouldn't we all?
Ahem. Before I get carried away.
You can preorder Guarded by the Snake on Amazon here, so it lands in your kindle as soon as it's live. Or just wait until it's in KU, I'll send you an email.
(The image shows the cover of Guarded by the Snake and Asan's quote from the book: "You can take a bit more, baby. Now. Take it for me." << that's how he talks throughout the spicy scenes, by the way. There's so much more of THAT.)
That's it from me, and I hope you have an excellent week! Talk to you soon!
Stay safe and horny,
~Layla
Book Highlight
Falling for Mr. Hyde is an MFM Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde monster romance, where ironically, the human host is a cruel sadist (who mellows out a bit once he falls in love) and the monster MMC is an unhinged demon with a very sweet spot for the heroine.
And she tries to kill them both.
It's in KU and can be read as a standalone.
Did You Get My Free Djinn Romance?
The Third Wish is a monster romance with a djinn/monster MMC and a bubbly, artistic FMC who accidentally becomes his mistress (as in, he's her slave) and he must make her wishes come true. She uses her third wish for something very, very reckless that results in spicy times.
Glossary
Double D - double dick, of course!
DP - double penetration, meaning two Ds penetrate two holes. Can involve two partners, but in this case, one is enough.
DVP - double vaginal penetration, meaning both Ds go in the V.
Hope this helps!
Ooooh, and by the way, Cassie Alexander's book Guarded by the Spider, which comes out after mine, also has a doubly endowed MMC! And all those dirty acronyms happen in her book, too.
