South opens 1♠, North jumps to 4♦—a clear splinter showing support for spades and a shortness in diamonds—and South signs off in 4♠.

West leads the 2♥. That small lead forces you to think: is it fourth highest or an interior top-of-sequence lead? The low two can’t come from a five-card suit as the lowest card would be different... could that 2♥ be a singleton??

Is there some way we can ask partner to lead a spade back? With our void in Spades, we have a real chance to cause some trouble for the poor declarer if only there was a signal we could send partner. :)
