Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

God knows. God cares. Don’t be afraid.

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Luke 12:6-7 NIV

This verse brings me much comfort. It puts an image in my head of a loving father that cares for me beyond anything I can imagine. A God that knows us intimately, has us in His hands and won't let go. In this passage Jesus is teaching of how valuable we are, and how none or anything is insignificant to Him. And the imagery of the hairs of our head being numbered, tells me He knows us in detail that we can't begin to understand. And for that, I am thankful. He knows, He loves, and He is in control. Amen!

As Kingdom Builders pulls forward, we are very aware of His presence in this ministry. How he knows before we do - how he cares for the ones that struggle to keep their homes together and how His love shines in what He calls us to be doing. I may have said this many times but it's worth saying again, I am humbled and awestruck of all He has put in our path. The opportunity that He has given us to be Christ to the community is awesome. We are finalizing the finer details of our next project. We have a home that needs a whole new roof structure built over it. A tree fell on the exist roof causing much damage. We are waiting on roof trusses and metal roofing and have submitted the paperwork for the building permit.  

Meanwhile as we wait the applications are coming in. We have approved two applicants in need of walk-in showers because of their physical challenges and are in the process of screening two more applications. The needs are there, and God is in control!

As we grow our needs are growing as well. We have been discussing the immediate need for storage space/ meeting place/ office. The ultimate goal would be to find a permanent facility, either purchasing land and building a facility or purchasing an existing structure. But for now, the thought is renting a place for the immediate need. I would ask that you would please pray with us in this. We know that God hears us and that He will provide as we remain faithful.

God’s providence knows nothing of things so little as to be beneath His notice, nothing of things so great to be beyond His control.

The omniscience of God is concentrated upon every single being, and yet it is not divided by the multiplicity of its objects.

Prayers:

That we may value humanity and those around us as if they were important enough for us to know the number of hairs on their heads.

That it will be enough for us to know that our Father in heaven loves us deeply, knows us fully, and governs us completely.
