Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Growing Deep

I trust that you had a great time this Thanksgiving with family and friends. A time of reflection, of how good our God is and how He is our strength and comforter in all things.  

This year was extra special for me in that I was able to enjoy a time of thanksgiving and praise with my new wife Michelle. I am truly blessed to have Michelle as my sidekick in life, a partner and my best friend. Together we will grow in the Lord, serve Him and each other, on this journey of matrimony. Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. I look forward to doing life together, growing and maturing in the Lord.

As time marches on Kingdom Builders is growing as well. With your help our funds are increasing, and we can start the work that God has called us to do. We now have 4 projects in the making – a single mom with many needs of repair and remodeling; a young family with plumbing and exterior repair; an elderly woman in need of exterior concrete stairs; and a family in need of windows to keep the heat in on these cold winter days. We will need to secure funding before we will be able to do all 4 but are prioritizing the need and putting together project plans. This is very exciting! Kingdom Builders has taken some great strides in getting the administrative functions and process in place but have some more steps to take to be prepared to serve at full capacity.  

Thank you for all your support and prayers. Please pray for God to continue raising up His people to support this ministry. Without His servants this isn’t possible. I am truly humbled to see how God brings his people together to do His work.

Message from the Board

Psalm 127 verse one begins “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it”. Kingdom Builders (KB) ministry is an outreach to those in need using carpentry as the conduit. However, it is so much more. The immediate need that KB attempts to address is certainly physical – a leaking roof, a broken window, a car that won’t start but is critically needed for transportation, etc.- but its impact is much more. To those who have the physical need it is all they can see. They are trapped in a seemingly hopeless situation where they are cold, wet, or desperate. The ministry of KB desires to recognize these needs and address them through very specific skills, but that is only the entrance into the lives of those struggling. By meeting the physical need, our hope is that through the relationship that develops, we will be able to address an even greater need. A need that those we seek to serve may not be able to recognize - the need of a Savior for those who don’t know Christ, or the confirmation of His Love for those who do. Either way, to demonstrate that God is in their need and has demonstrated His Love to them by meeting it first physically, and then spiritually. The desire of each member of KB is to be used as God’s tool to this end. It is our prayer that God Himself will bring to this ministry those whose needs we can address by “fixing” their house, car, etc, and by doing so, gain entrance into their lives in order to demonstrate His faithfulness in loving them. 

Please consider partnering with us either by praying for KB to be faithful to this commitment, or perhaps with your financial support. Either way I believe God can and will make a difference in people’s lives using KB ministry.
