Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Hard work through heart work

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 NIV

This verse came to my heart this month as Kingdom Builders blessed another in need, in our community. A few board members and I pulled together and finished up another project. We were able to bless a woman in need of a new bathroom and repair an unsafe hall floor and tear off an old rotted porch, replacing it with a new safe one. As we did this it was very clear to me that we all were "working at it with all our hearts as working for the Lord". The homeowner was very happy and appreciative of what we were able to do for her. It warmed my heart to see her come out and sit on her new porch and as I interacted with the neighbors, they too were happy to see her sitting out enjoying her new porch. I know that Kingdom Builders impacted her, and we thank God for using us this way. My hope is that we impacted her community as well.

We continue to be very humbled and grateful for your role in this ministry. Because of your support and prayers, we are able to keep blessing those in need and move full steam ahead. The applications continue to come in for more needs. Our God is a big God and I see Him moving us forward in big ways. As we grow, the ministry needs grow. We will be needing a new van soon. As you all well know vehicles get old and become money pits. We desire to have volunteers involved but can't do that without volunteer insurance. Our current facility (my house) is getting too small for storing needed supplies and donations. So, the need for another property (preferably vacant land to build what we need) is becoming a greater need as we grow. Please keep us in your prayers as our financial needs grow with all this. I know as we continue to be faithful and obedient all will happen according to His plan, and together we can give glory to God.
