Mission Statement:
Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.
Making Things New
Well February is here, and spring is on the way. Soon we will be seeing plants being revived and blossoms start to poke out. I am always taken back by how God is in charge of every little thing and how He makes sure his creation is taken care of and revived or rejuvenated into what He wants. All for His glory and our good.
“He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. They give water to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst. The birds of the sky nest by the waters; they sing among the branches. He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work. He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth” Psalms 104:10-14 NIV
God orchestrates everything to be in sync and in line with His plan and as Kingdom Builders pulls forward, I see Him providing and syncing things together. We are continuing our first project. I managed to finish the cabinet and countertop work as well as installing a new kitchen window. I also patched some weak spots and holes in the floor in preparation for new flooring next week. As I have been working, I had on my heart how nice it would be if we could do something about replacing the old stove. Well God knew my heart and a friend of mine contacted me and asked if I knew anyone who could use a “fairly new” stove. WHAT??? Well there we go - God is at work and He is blessing our ministry. Amen! So soon we will have another stove and new flooring…. stay tuned.
I can't thank you all enough for being on board with Kingdom Builders. With your faithful prayers and financial support, we are doing great things to bless others and further His Kingdom.
We have more that needs to be done on this project. One immediate need is the bathroom. It will have to be completely re-done. We currently will have to push pause though until more funds come in. So please be in prayer that God will raise up his people to keep the funds coming in. I am confident that He will provide.
Andy
Message from the Board
Greetings. First, thank you for having an interest in Kingdom Builders, and a heart for this ministry. As a board member, I have seen how God uses each of our different gifts and personalities to accomplish His work. We each come from different walks of life and experiences but have a common purpose: to support Andy in his vision and be used of God to build the ‘foundation’ for this ministry.
As Andy detailed in last month’s newsletter, we are underway on the project for the single mom! Check out the KB website to see updated pictures of the project (click on About, and then View our Work). New flooring is being installed next week in kitchen and living room. Chloe is thrilled to have a new kitchen and the encouragement from Andy’s ministry to her.
The project is about 50% completed, but we have decided to hit the pause button. One of the responsibilities of the board is to manage the resources entrusted to us. We must balance faith and stewardship. Faith that God will provide and stewardship to use every dollar wisely and practice fiscal discipline. We have sufficient funds to pay for this project through the flooring installation, but not beyond that. The shortfall is approximately $9,000. In addition to completing Chloe’s project, the board has approved 4 additional projects/applications.
We are trusting God for provision to accomplish His ministry. We invite you to walk this exciting journey with us by your prayer and financial support.
Thank you.
Don Marsh
PRAISE AND PRAYERS
Praise
God for providing a stove! And for the many needs He meets, sometimes without our knowledge.
For all of you on this journey with us. Your prayers and support fill us with joy and encourage us as we work to fulfil Gods plan through His ministry.
For our single mom and her son, who is reminded through Andy’s work, “how God transforms our hearts”.
Prayers
Lift the lost in our community, that this ministry will show the gospel lived out with power through the holy spirit and deep conviction. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share your salvation.
For the board as we navigate the administrative functions of the ministry; that we do so with wisdom and hearts that seek God’s leading.
That our hearts not be troubled as we continue to experience the effects of COVID. That even in the disruption of our daily lives, the conflicting media coverage, the sickness and sometime death, and uncertainty of the future that we keep our eyes focused on our Lord and Savior.
