Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

PRAISE GOD

We are on our way! Monday January 4th Kingdom Builders started their first project. I am very excited, blessed and honored to kick this off with this project. A while back I mentioned work needing to be done for a single mom. Through the work of God, your prayers and generous giving, I was able to start.

This project consists of a kitchen, some windows, a new entry door, flooring, wallboard repair, new bathroom, mobile home skirting and painting. We had enough funds to get her a new kitchen (new window in 2 weeks) and hope to have enough for the entry door and flooring. 

It’s a start but more funds will be needed to finish the whole project. I know through your prayers and donations this will happen. God will provide!

I am currently working with a young man that I met through a ministry I am a part of. This is Ed. 

A couple of us meet at a rehabilitation center bringing games and hope. Ed was there for a short stay and is now living on his own. He recently shared with me that he felt a desire to know God. What? AWESOME very interested and asks a lot of question. PERFECT!            

It’s so cool to see someone's desire to soak in the Gospel. So please pray for Ed and that we can SEAL THE DEAL. Him and I recently did some work on a shelter that provides a warm bed for the night for the homeless. He was happy to be a part of that work.! So, him and I get together to do some Bible study weekly. 

God is on the move and it’s GREAT to be a part of His work. Thank you all for your part in the Kingdom Builders ministry. Please keep us in your prayers. As I said we will need more funds to finish up this project. Please take time and ask God what your role can be in this ministry. Check out our website. If you feel God is calling on you to be a supporter, you will see the easy ways you can do that. Thank you, ALL. With your support we can be a part spreading the love of Christ and "Serve Him through serving others".

Message from the Board

I have known Andy for 10 years and have been truly blessed in serving the Lord with him over that time. We have worked together in men’s ministry helping those in our church with repairs on their home who could not do it on their own. Andy also helped me with COP (Community Outreach Project), a ministry I helped start, one week in the summer where we do multiple construction projects to help those in need. I remember many people who volunteered for this ministry asked if COP did anything outside of that week in the summer and unfortunately it did not.  

When Andy came back from his last mission trip to Montana and proposed KBCNY ministry I thought it was perfect! Now there would be a ministry to meet the greater needs of our community and provide an opportunity to those who would like to do this type of ministry all year long. I am very happy to serve on the KBCNY board and am very excited about the ministry opportunities we are uncovering.

If you would like to serve as a volunteer in this ministry either hammering nails or serving on one of our committees in other capacities please fill out the volunteer form on our website https://kingdombuilderscny.org/give/. You can always support us financially if you don’t have the time to serve however praying for this ministry would be big blessing.  

Another way you could help is by inviting us to your local church to introduce to your congregation this exciting ministry. Please let us know if your church would be interested in this.

PRAISE AND PRAYERS

Praise

• God in his provision and faithfulness, who equips us, meeting our every need and calls us into fellowship with his son Jesus Christ.
• God that with Him, nothing is impossible (Mark 10:27)
• God that righteousness and justice are the foundation of this throne, and that steadfast love and faithfulness go before Him (Psalm 89:14)
• For the divine appointment between Ed and Andy. Pray that Ed’s desire to know God be filled and that he be surround by a church body to encourage his faith and answer his questions.

Prayers

• Lift the lost in our community, that this ministry will show the gospel lived out with power through the holy spirit and deep conviction. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share your salvation.
• Renew our community – send your peace and prosperity into this place where you have planted us. Bless each individual home and family. Build each house from the inside out; watch over our city.
• Government leaders – that God will grant them remarkable humility, wisdom, patience and love for people – particularly as they consider how to lead and protect us in these days.
