Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Flooring and Faith

Well, I don’t know about the rest of you, but in my life this time of year is CRAZY BUSY! Hours go by like seconds and days go by like minutes. Then before you know it’s a new year. But keeping God in everything you do makes it such a blessing for sure.

This has been a great month all around. We were able to dive right into a project we had where a single woman had rotted floors in her bedroom and hallway. She had planks strategically place in her bedroom so that her bed did not fall through.  YIKES!

So, we got right to it and with the help of one of our board members, Steve, we were able to get the old flooring tore up and new subfloor and flooring installed. The homeowner was very relieved and happy.

I was able to spend some time chatting with her about her faith and the way God is blessing her and Kingdom Builders. She was thankful to God and Kingdom Builders for sure.

We were also blessed by one of our generous supporters this month with some used appliances. This will come in handy as some need appliances. Thank God for this supporter.

One if my visions for Kingdom Builders is to have our own property with a shop. My thought is to be able to bring volunteers in to help us and teach them this trade. The challenge has been finding property. The thought is a piece of land to start fresh and make it what we need. So, as you pray for us, please pray for this.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. We have a lot of work ahead of us. A rotted porch that the rafters are being held up by the storm door and a new bathroom. A home where a tree fell on the roof and is in need of a new roof structure. A new bathroom for an elderly man with physical challenges and the list goes on. God is good and He will provide.

Praise:

That we have been appointed by God to do this work for him and entrusted by Him with what is needful to benefit others.

For the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit and for the spiritual gifts that we have been given by Your goodness and grace.

Prayers:

That we may be diligent to use the gifts and graces that have been given to us for the benefit of others.

That we see each opportunity god gives us to share our gifts and that we act in those moments.

Help us to keep an eternal perspective ever in sight and praise Your name for the blessed hope and glorious future that You have purposed for all Your people.
