Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Bless you abundantly

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

As Kingdom Builders moves forward in the ministry, I'm reminded in this verse that as you and I give, God will continue to bless us "abundantly". We can’t out give God. We give of our time and resources and God keeps on blessing us having all that we need so we can keep giving…CRAZY HUH? 

This certainly has been very evident in my life ever since God has called me into ministry. The more I give the more God blesses and abounds in His giving. I’m not just talking financially; I'm talking more of my relational giving. Jesus and his ministry are all about relationships and we are called to be Christ in all we do. For me being Christ is exciting and fun - forming relationships, serving God. The relationships are abundant and a blessing. 

This is evident as we finished up our first project. Our single mom is extremely happy and appreciative. We were able to get some flowers in her new flower box thanks to one of our board members and another volunteer. As I worked there it was nice to interact with her and her son. A blessing for sure. A true giving from God helping Kingdom Builders abound in our good work. We are planning to take a day and have a dedication of our work. A little food and fellowship…good stuff. 

We are now moving ahead with our next project. We have a family in need of repairs on their home. I have known this family for a few years. They are strong, obedient, faithful servants of the Lord and I’m looking forward to blessing them with our work. Please pray for the work to go smoothly and the blessings be abundant. I know they will be.

Message from the Board

As I was sipping a cup of coffee this week and looking out the window to a world fully awakened to Summer, I began to think of all the changes that have occurred as I move through the seasons of my life. I can recall 30 plus years ago working as a volunteer with a local non-profit to copy and fold the newsletter, address and then stuff the tri-folded letter into envelopes and apply stamps for the monthly mailings. (Of course, that only occurred because someone else had sat down at a typewriter. Most likely with some handwritten notes to refer to and typed out the newsletter for me to copy!) Today, with home computers, internet and email this whole process of connecting with you is easier.

Yet, the one constant thing about living in this world we call home is change! Change in the weather, seasons, technology, family situations and, unfortunately, in the physical structure of our homes as they age. Sadly, this physical decline in homes can result in a family member, neighbor or friend living in an unsafe or unhealthy residence because they do not have the ability or the resources to perform the necessary repairs.  Kingdom Builders of CNY believes that God has called us to fill this need that many homeowners have. That is why Kingdom Builders of CNY ministry exists - to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means.

Although the practical focus is on construction and the physical needs of the home, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those we serve, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of God through ministry. The Eternal God we serve does not change, not even a little bit, not ever! God’s Character has been, and will continue to be, absolutely perfect and the Scripture tells us He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. This means that every good gift we receive (health, strength and the roof over our head) during the course of our lives, comes down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Kingdom Builders wants to reflect that aspect of God’s character in our ministry: A gift from God, totally unexpected, yet given in love in the name of Christ. Thank you for supporting us through your prayers and financial gifts.

Project #1 is completed!

For volunteers that God brings to the ministry to help projects come to completion.

The economy of the kingdom of God is abundant and knows no scarcity. Out of nothing, God creates bara – something. 

For God protection over Andy’s health and wellbeing, for the strength and stamina he provides to see His work through to completion.

Prayers:

Funds to cover the cost of Andy’s health insurance.

For divine appointments with unbelievers to apply for help and interact with the ministry.

That we may be challenged to re-imaging life and live into an economy of God’s abundance.
