Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Projects, Provisions and Patience – Oh My!

SEPTEMBER 2024

Some days are really hard to get through without someone coming alongside us to remind us that we’re not walking through life alone. We all need others to occasionally help us carry problems or struggles. When our need for support goes unmet, it’s so easy to believe that our needs are unimportant.

On the surface we know that applicants are connecting with KBCNY for physical, tangible needs –roof repair, foundation troubles, water damage, rotting windows and doors, or unsafe electrical wiring. More spiritually, however, we know that through Gods plan and divine appointments our applicants have a much greater need. We know both the tangible need and the spiritual need are important.

Some needs are simply the result of living in a fallen world, while other needs are created by our own unwise choices, but whatever created the need only God will determine how He provides. Praise God that he invites KBCNY to be a provision to his hurting people!

Recently we have had a large increase in requests for assistance. We have about 10 projects pending approval based on funds. Project estimates range from $2,500 up to $15,000 per project. These are some pretty big price tags and in total greatly exceed the balance in the ministry account.

Sometimes God steps into a situation and supplies what’s needed without any effort on our part, but more often than not, we will have a role to play. Our first and most obvious responsibility is to ask the Lord for help. No matter how big the problem may be, God is bigger. He “is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us” (Eph. 3:20). 

Please pray with us:

• that the Lord works to strengthen us so we can endure and respond to the needs of our applicants with godly attitudes and actions 
• that God will provide exactly what is needed, according to His will, through this ministry
• that God will be made known and glorified through this ministry

Secondly, we would like to ask for your help. Please consider partnering with the ministry:

• being one time donor to one of our pending 10 projects
• raising awareness of our ministry within your local church body or missions committee
• asking the ministry to present during a church service or at a church event

That we walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called (Ephesians 4:1).

For those who are guarded and living in solitude, that they may find fulfillment in loving God and their neighbors through Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit guide each of us to be a light to those around us who may be feeling lost or alone.
