Hi,


Lean into that Headwind…


...and you will get a lot more tailwinds. This is a phrase you may hear me say when I am talking about all the struggles, we have with our personal fitness journeys.


Let me start by asking you a question. How is your fitness? Before you answer, can you answer this question with full honesty? What I mean is how are you judging your present condition?


Most people will always feel their fitness is not where they want it to be.


‘I am not where I was this time last year.’


‘I have lost some time due to illness, so I am chasing my ass.’


Sure, there are a few people who are happy where they are at BUT want more. 

We ALL want more so don’t worry, you are a warrior so accept that you’ll always be pushing BUT you need to accept that it’s tough, it’s a struggle and it never gets easy. This is the nature of the journey that you have you have chosen. 


Now let me share a tip. Something that has to light over the last month due to volume of questions I have had regarding training zone calculations, nutritional timing, aero gains and a few on what is best type of fish to eat!


We are surrounded daily with internal and external noises. For most, they push buttons that drive up the emotional state and demand your warrior nature runs loose. 


So, I want you to take a big deep end of month breath and ask yourself…


‘What is the ONE thing that will MOVE you forward?’


What is holding you back from progressing this one thing? Basically, what is your ‘headwind?’


If you were to lean directly into this ‘headwind’ for one month, where could you be by the end of February? You focus on this issue every day! You have this issue at the front of your thinking in every workout and every meal. 


I assure you that focusing on this issue, whatever it is, will deflect attention away from worrying about the colour of your socks and bibs, whether you need aero socks or what bloody type of fish to eat.
