Growing up...

My dad told me about the 3 phases of life

Do you want to hear?

I'll tell you

TAKE

GIVE ME

BRING

You may not understand this if you're not African

but I'll go ahead and explain.

The "take" stage is from age 0 - 15

Your parents basically know all your needs and

provide you with the finances to meet them.

The "give me" stage is from 16 - your mid 20's

You now have different needs and you basically

demand money from your parents to meet them.

The "bring" stage is when you are now OYO (on your own)

You are now a full fledged adult and everyone expects you

to contribute to the family in some way.

See....

When we were kids, we wanted to be adults so bad

Now we are adults and we have seen that life is really not a bed of roses

Sometimes things are good

other times, things are tight.

I'm not referring to the people who only have 300k to give freaky freaky ooo.

lol.... I actually mean real live stuvvs.

Nobody is coming to save you

You'll have to figure things out

You'll have to take initiatives

You'll have to figure out a way to survive

If not, hunger will kee youuuuu

The government won't save

Esepcially this Nigerian government

They can't!!!

You have to be your own hero

Nobody will come to your house and make your dreams come true.

What's that business you've always wanted to start?

The job you wanted to apply for?

The skill you wanted to learn?

Start now oooo

Your success is your duty

It's not enough to have an idea

It's not enough to be thinking in that direction

It's not enough to "want to do it"

Get up and actually do it.

Ideas are easy...implementation is hard

But I believe in you

I believe you can do it

and I'm rooting for you.

I'll talk to you tomorrow. ⁣
