Oñwuegbu

While growing up, I used to hear my dad call people this name a lot.

So we're driving and someone wants to hurriedly overtake my dad even when the person may put himself in danger...

As per you drive rough near my papa...

My dad will chook his head outside the window (international audience please ooo... It means he will look outside the car) and shout "Onwuegbu!"

He does it almost unknowingly 😂😂😂

Like reflex action

Onwuegbu means person wey death no fit kill... Lol.

Since you feel say death no fit kill you, dey put yourself for risk na 😂

So whenever someone drove recklessly close to us, I always expected to hear my dad shout "onwuegbu!" 😂😂😂

I was thinking about this yesterday, and something struck me.

Let me share it with you.

In our lives and careers.. Abi our hustle (anyone you can relate with), most of us are "Onwuegbu"

We're often in a hurry because we feel some form of pressure from the society.

I see a lot of stuff on social media today making 20 year olds feel like they are poor...

Yahoo boys making you feel like your legit hustle is a joke...

I even saw this somewhere...

"Intelligent guys no fit get fine babes again because yahoo boys don spoil everything"

😂😂😂😂

Onwuegbu!!!!

Calm down!!!!

See...

Plenty fake life full this Internet

Plenty people dey drop lamba up and down.

No need to feel pressured

You have time

Your dreams are valid

Keep working hard and it will surely pay off

No go become onwuegbu

Life is not a sprint, it is a marathon.

Now there's healthy pressure.

When your peers are legit succeeding.

That pressure should inspire you to work harder and not to start hating on people who are successful.

If it happened for one, it's proof that it can happen for another.

Onwuegbu!!!!

Calm down 😊
