I came in yesterday at 7pm and as usual, I was greeted with traffic at Lagos/Ibadan expressway. I stayed in traffic until past 9pm before I finally got to my bus stop. If you know me well you know I hate it whenever I'm here. The traffic drives me crazy.
But that's not why I am writing you this morning.
I want to tell you about this particular woman that caught my attention around Elediyi bus stop. She had a speaker attached to her truck and all I was hearing from the speaker was "come and buy special kunu"
It was dark, but there she was calling attention to her business. Even if you didn't see her face, you must know that she is selling special kunu. The only reason I didn't buy that kunu was because I'm not a kunu person.
This my dear friend is why you should invest in advertising.
People won't patronize your business because you have a business. People will patronize you because you can get their attention.
One of My mentors Grant Cardone said that there are only 2 reasons businesses fail:
People don't know you
People have forgotten about you
If you really want to see your business grow in leaps and bounds, then you must master the art of getting attention. You must get known. You must learn to invest a sizeable sum of money in advertising as well. Trust me, the ROI will surprise you.
