Hi ,
It's been nice to get (a little bit) back to normal around here this week. The ice is gone around here, but replaced by more mud than I'd care to see in a lifetime. We've been dealing with the residue of the big ice storm, with broken branches and downed trees all over the farm. (But thankfully we escaped structure damage!)
Even when the weather is 'normal'--whatever normal is for all of us--winter is a time when chickens are cooped up more than normal. And just like when this happens to us, it can make them a little grouchy. The last thing you want is a bunch of chickens picking on each other because they're bored and tired of being confined more than their normal.
Thankfully there's a solution and I have a blog post about it! With just a few simple supplies and a few minutes, you can set your flock up with their own 'home workout'. Get the details here.
Stay warm!
PS Speaking of staying warm--I have some super cute new 'bowl cozies' in my farm store complete with a chicken and bee patterned fabric that I designed. I'm so excited! The cozies are perfect to keep your food hot and your fingers from burning. Win/win.
