SOMETIMES I AM SILENT

Sometimes I remain silent so I can listen intently to others.

Sometimes I don’t agree with many of the things you say – and I remain silent.

Sometimes I am awestruck by many of the things you say – and I remain silent as it seems there are no words to wrap around your awesomeness.

Sometimes I am recoiling due to your anger, judgements, and forcefulness – and I remain silent.

Sometimes you don’t want to listen to me – and I remain silent.

Sometimes we need to learn how to connect in the silence without words so we can absorb each other’s Beingness – and I remain silent.

Most people are uncomfortable with my silences because they don’t know how to adapt and appreciate the silence.

When I do speak, I want my words to come from a place of resonance within my heart.

I want to speak of love, wisdom, compassion, encouragement, and acceptance.

Silence is the womb for meaningful words to be born and to come forth for self and others.

Welcome Silence, my dear friend.
