The past two weeks went by so fast, it felt more like one long day. Which probably explains why I only finished a scene and a half on the queer m/f story. sigh
I'm very much a discovery writer—even with an outline—and a very messy drafter on top of that. This often leads to deleting and rewriting most of the draft. (re: I write a book and a half for every book).
To avoid this, I've been trying out a new system. Instead of drafting the whole book in one go, I'm writing and editing a scene before moving on to the next.
So far, I'm enjoying doing it this way. Now I just need to figure out how to speed up the process... (and stop nitpicking words).
