This is a request for one of BNL members, Neva Ingalls lost everything when Hurricane Helene ravaged our mountains – more on her story below.
130 Center Ave. Black Mountain, NC 28711
Tomorrow, Tony & I are going to Neva's “home” (a shell) to assist her in cleaning 2+ feet of mud from her backyard/garden area.
On Saturday, November 2nd, we are going back to Neva's to wash mud & clean debris from her interior walls/areas.
We need assistance.
We need people to help.
If you can come & if you have them, please bring shovels; pitchforks; buckets; cleaning towels; paper towels; gloves; scrub brushes; BIG, contractor style, trash bags; & brooms.
If you can assist personally, please bring your own water/drinks, masks (lots of dust), food (lunch & snacks) & chairs.
Remember: this is a disaster area - the services available are slim & next to none.
