Cheap Direct Debits for bank switching and rewards

After last week's reveal of a new switching deal from Nationwide, the big question from many of you was how to find new Direct Debits.

Well in this article I've shared some new ones you can set up quickly that won't cost you much or any money.

If you'd rather watch there's also a version on YouTube.

Cheaper alternatives to Sky TV and Virgin Media

I've been encouraging you all to ditch Sky and Virgin TV for years, and with the new series of The Walking Dead starting this week on Disney+ (rather than the now-closed Fox channel), I'm sure there are a few more of you ready to move on.

But where do you go? There are so many streaming options available, I've looked at the different options you can use that will be cheaper than sticking with satellite or cable providers.

M&S Club Rewards review

Though M&S Bank current accounts are closing next week, the credit card business is continuing, with the "Club Rewards" scheme - an extra new and existing card holders can add to their account.

You'll get vouchers, free hot drinks, free delivery and more. But it'll cost £10 a month. I've crunched the numbers to work out whether it's worth joining.

THIS WEEK'S TOP DEALS

I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.

I'll also share a quick update on Instagram on Saturday morning.

1. Trains: Flash sales on LNER & Northern

There are still some great opportunities to save on train journeys with £1 tickets from Northern and £5 and £10 tickets with LNER.

I've saved around £85 on going to see a friend in Sheffield, a day trip to Leeds and a return journey to London over the next few months!

2. Theatre: London Theatre Week sale

Another flash sale this week offers tickets at £15, £25 and £35 for a range of top West End shows in the autumn and winter. Grab them while you can!

3. Honest Brew: Birthday beer savings

One of my fave craft beer shops is celebrating its 8th birthday with discounts all week. Members can get a free IPA, and there's the chance to win free delivery and a fiver off orders.

Newbies can also get £10 off their first order. Here are the details of the deals so far.

4. Waitrose: Up to 50% off sale

There are some big discounts on everyday items in this new autumn sale at Waitrose. More here.

5. Wine: 25% off six bottles or more at Asda

This popular offer is back at Asda, and I wouldn't be surprised if we also see it at Tesco and / or Sainsbury's over the Bank Holiday. Details here.

6. Snoop: Free £10 Amazon voucher

Until 31 August you can get a £10 Amazon voucher for signing up to finance app Snoop and connecting your bank account.

Also, the same date is the last chance to get access to the Chip+1 savings account paying 1.25% on up to £10k (though I'd expect a different new member offer to run later in the year). More here.

7. Shake Shack: 20% off on Friday

It's National Burger Day tomorrow (though some brands are offering deals today). My pick of the offers is for those with a Shake Shack nearby. You can get a voucher to save 20% on orders.
