BLOG & ARTICLES
Is it worth going the extra mile to save money on petrol?
Petrol prices have got really expensive recently, so it makes sense to find the cheapest pumps, right? Well, that depends on how far you have to travel to get lower prices.
In this article I've shared not just how to find the cost at different petrol stations near you, but how to work out when it's actually better to pay more and drive less to fill your tank.
August’s savings round-up & news
Here's my monthly update on the best savings accounts and details of how the latest inflation rate affects the money you've put away, where you can now get 0.6% easy access and whether increases to fixed savings rates mean they're better options now than accounts like Chip+1 or Premium Bonds.
If you'd rather watch there's also a more detailed update on YouTube.
Ask Andy #22: Your money questions answered
This week's questions answered include:
- What's the point of NOW TV?
- Do I need to use all my credit limit?
- Should I wait to get an Amex?
You'll also be able to watch last night's live Q&A video in full, including whether you need to worry about Monzo.
CASH CHATS PODCAST
#211: Bad Direct Debits, Lloyd’s new cashback card & free water refills
One more I've got three topics for the price of one in this week's episode.
Find out when Direct Debits might actually be more expensive, how to get free water bottle refills when you're out and about, and my take on the new cashback credit card from Lloyds.
You can listen via all the normal podcasting routes or over on the blog.
Friday's news review episodes will be back in September, if not before.
NEXT LIVE Q&A: Tuesday 10 August 7pm
The next live will be on Tuesday on Instagram and my YouTube channel. Put a reminder in your diary now!
