Lloyds launches new cashback credit card

This brand new card from Lloyds Bank offers up to 0.5% cashback on purchases, making it the highest paying free non-Amex card (more on those below).

But it's not actually going to be better than other options for lots of you. I've delved into how it works in this review.

Which American Express credit card is best?

The best paying cashback and reward credit cards are from Amex and using one is a great way to make some easy extra cash as part of your normal spending.

But with the rates dropping on the popular Platinum Cashback and Platinum Cashback Everyday next week, I've taken a look to see whether there are now better options, whether you're a new customer or looking to switch your existing card.

THIS WEEK'S TOP DEALS

I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.

I'll also share a quick 30-second update on YouTube on Saturday morning.

1. Halifax: £100 bank switch offer ends

This week both the HSBC and First Direct switch offers ended, and the Halifax Ultimate Rewards deal ends on Tuesday.

Though other banks could launch offers, for now this means there will be no cash switching deals available.

2. Olympics: Cheapest way to watch on Eurosport

If you've been frustrated by the chop and change of sports on the BBC's Olympic coverage then you might need to pay to watch the events in full on Eurosport, which outbid the BBC for the rights to screen all the action. Here's the cheapest way to get it.

3. Savings: 0.55% "limited-access" account

Still not the most fantastic rate, but this new account from Coventry Building Society is the highest we've seen in a while for those who need to access your cash.

Technically this isn't easy access as there are some restrictions. You can only make six withdrawals in a year, but that should hopefully work for most.

4. Disney+: 10% cashback

There's 10% off Disney+ via Santander's Retailer Offers. You need to activate the deal and then pay with your debit or credit card.

5. Showcase: Three tickets for the price of two

Head to a Showcase cinema twice in the next three and a bit weeks and you'll get a free ticket for another film in September.

6. Apple TV+: Original free trials to end

This is more of a quick announcement rather than a deal. If you received one of the initial free trials of Apple TV+ which was extended and extended and extended, then you'll be charged from July.

There's a good chance you've already paid, though if you signed up late in the month (as I did) you might have a few days left to cancel.

7. Pick My Postcode: July prize draw results

If you entered the exclusive competition to win £10 via Pick My Postcode then click through to the site to see if you are a winner and how to claim your prize.
