Adam's World Weekly for 12/22

Welcome to the new week everyone!

I've just moved my email list over to SendFox, so if you're seeing me in your inbox for the first time in a while, welcome back! I promise I didn't disappear, I was just dealing with MailChimp "cleaning" contacts when I didn't ask it to!

OK, on to the update.

Christmas is coming up this week, and I have to admit I’ve been dreading the holiday. This will be my first Christmas without my mom, and with my dad still requiring round the clock medical care I’ve been opting out of all things Christmas related.

Well, there are two Christmas traditions I’ve kept up with – putting up my family’s outdoor LED tree, and writing my annual “Christmas Songs You Absolutely Need to Know Exist” edition of Pop Shots, which is in this week’s update.

The closest thing I’ve done that would qualify as a holiday party would be attending The Ritualists’ HolidayPuss event at Baker Falls in the city.

During the show I won, of all things, a purse, for answering a trivia question about The Grinch (what are the three words that best describe The Grinch. Those words are – Stink! Stank! Stunk!).

Not sure what I’ll do with the prize, but it seems like a safe bet that the next woman I date will be getting a purse for a holiday, or birthday.

Here are some scenes from the night ...

Hey, that’s me!

In blog news, in addition to my annual Christmas Pop Shots column, this week’s update also has my latest One Hit Wondering column, which is on “Live and Learn” band Joe Public, and my five must-see NYC bands of 2025.

That’s a lotta good stuff for you to check out!

As always, if you see something you like in this email, feel free to forward it to a friend!
