Oct 24, 2025 7:31 pm
Hello ,
Remember to join us on Wednesday 10/29 at the Fun For All Fall Festival, a fundraiser supporting a local family torn apart by ICE. We'll need as many volunteers as we can get to pull off a great event, including monitors for the bake sale and silent auction, facepainters, DJs, and more! Not only will you make a direct impact for our Augusta and 50501 communities, you'll have a ton of fun! Let's do this together.
To volunteer to ensure a great event, go here!
Enjoy free games and a special performance by aerial troupe Vertigo Valkyries of Black Cat Cabaret! While you’re there, donate to the cause by playing Halloween activities, eating sweet treats, bidding for handmade artwork and goods in a silent auction, and shopping local artisan vendors. There will be recreation for kids, trick or treating, and costume contests! Mark your calendars and bring a friend!
To RSVP for the festival, go here!
We'd love to see you at the festival, but if you just can't make it, please consider sending the Espinoza family some support this way! Every step brings us closer to the goal and makes a real impact for this family.

The Espinozas' Story
Tony and Brian Espinoza made a home together in North Augusta and had just begun to feel like they were getting back on their feet when Brian was suddenly arrested and detained by ICE in February 2025. His DACA cost a steep $600 to renew every two years, and the most recent renewal payment was unaffordable for them at the time. For months, Brian was imprisoned in an ICE detainment center in Folkston while his husband Tony sounded the alarm about the inhumane conditions there: lack of basic hygiene access, cells without A/C hitting dangerous temperatures in the sweltering summer heat, etc. In early September, Brian was deported from his home without the usual considerations for residency for an immigrant married to a citizen. ICE refused to tell Tony where Brian had been sent, forcing him to locate his missing husband on his own with the help of local organizations like 50501 Augusta. Tony hopes to relocate to Mexico to be with his husband and continue their lives together. Now Tony and Brian need their community’s support to manage the costs of legal fees, medical needs, Mexican citizenship documentation and visas, and relocation assistance. Please join us at the festival, have some Halloween fun, and contribute what you can to help this couple reunite and rebuild!
