The one where I juggle the old projects like a clown.

Hi ,
I watched television again this month. No, nothing on NBC or any of the networks. More accurately, I watched streaming television again, briefly. But I sat down one weekend and binged on a new series, and I must say, it was fun.
The streaming service in question is Apple TV+, and the series is Widow's Bay, the comedy/mystery/supernatural horror series that swept the Emmys this year.
And, well, I concur. It's a great series.
Imagine a show that merges the horror tropes of The Fog, a haunted house, sea shanties, and more, combines it with the skepticism and eventual paranoia of The X-Files, and merges it with the quirkiness and comedic beats of Twin Peaks or Parks and Recreation, and you begin to get a sense of what this show is about and accomplishes.
And even then, it finds ways to twist your expectations enough to segue the weirdness into genuine fear and concern for the characters by the end of the season. And though I predicted the final twist about three episodes in advance (it's the kind of twist that would make the show stupid if it doesn't go there, so it had to go there, and you kinda know it's going there even when you don't know exactly how just yet), and even when the twist arrives (as expected) and the season ends, you can't help but think, Yeah, this one was good.
