I had a call with one of my clients last week (it's a hotel in Tanzania)
And they were showing me their bookings cancellations
I was surprised
I didn't know it that was something they were struggling with until that conversation
At the end of the meeting I proposed to take over the management of their booking.com account

Give them a counter offer to what a competitor has offered them
If uncertainty has made them cancel, give assurance that helps them book such as deposits etc.
