Hey !

Z Frequency started as a studio project, where I worked with musicians from all over to create the songs for the ZHZ catalog of 2024. Each song featured different musicians, and that creative option is still available. But guess what? In 2025, things are about to change!

You see, I’ve been working on something exciting for over a year: how would I be able to perform any of these songs live if the opportunity arose? Well, I’m thrilled to share that Z Frequency has taken a big step forward! We’ve moved from the basement studio to a stage near you!

We’ve got a dedicated group of musicians now, and they’re all part of the Z Frequency family. All of them have at least performed on one song from last year, but this is the first time we’ve all been together in the same room. We recently had our first rehearsal, and we’re bursting with excitement to continue this journey as a real live band.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the musicians who collaborated with me last year. And to those who are now the sitting members of ZHZ, I’m equally grateful. These are all musicians I know personally, and I’m so proud to be performing alongside them. They’re my friends, and now my new music family.

Now, let me introduce you to the members of Z Frequency. From left to right, from the standing pose image:

  1. 🎹 Mike Olesko - Keys/Percussion
  2. 🎺 Matt Allen - Trumpet/Vocals
  3. 🎸 John McCallum - Bass
  4. 🎤 Zak Davis - Vocals/Keys
  5. 🎸Greg Griffeth - Guitar
  6. 🥁 Mike Lomax - Drums
  7. 🎺 Tristan Reeder - Trombone

So, what does all this mean? Well, we’re currently building out a set list and planning to perform next year and beyond at different locations across the Utah Valley. We’ll be in Logan, Provo, and everywhere in between.

I’d love to hear from you! Let me know where you’re from and if there are any venues you think would be a good fit for us. Or any other artists that would welcome us in supporting a lineup. We’re open to all ages, or 21+. I’m looking forward to chatting with you and sharing our music with you.

Thanks for your support! - Zak
