Dragon Con + Post-campaign Opportunity

Jun 01, 2023 4:31 pm

Hey all,

First things first, I'm headed to Dragon Con in Atlanta! I've never been to the city or the convention, but I've heard great things. And I know a ton of other authors who will be there that I'm looking forward to meeting in person for the first time. They've already been warned...I'm a hugger. If any of you are going to be there, let me know! I'd love to meet you.

On top of that, I've been productive! Not only did I write another 10% of The Fall of Cloud Seven (my next book/series for those who are new), but I also wrote the first chapter of another new book that I couldn't stop thinking about. I'll share more about that in a few months, but I'll say that my writing group loved it! I also wrote the Threadlight post-credit scene which was one of the special edition Kickstarter stretch goals, only available in the deluxe edition.

Speaking of...

As of today, you can back the campaign posthumously via PledgeBox for a few weeks before we have to give the final numbers to the printer. I know many of you who missed the Kickstarter have been asking about this, and I'm happy we're able to offer one last opportunity to grab a copy, including the $1 add-ons.

If you haven't seen the art that's going in this, it's so great. Beyond what I've already shared in previous newsletters, here are the newest chapter headings and illustrations:

The last thing I'll mention is that I have a short story that will be part of an upcoming winter-themed Anthology being put together by Dominish Books. There are a ton of great authors involved, and I really think you're going to love my story—The Snowmaker's Child—set in the same world as The Fall of Cloud Seven.

As always, thank you for following along and for supporting my works. Next newsletter should include the winners of the 2023 Indie Fantasy Fund grants.
