Unbroken

Hey nerds!

I am incredibly excited to share that the Unbroken Anthology kickstarter has officially launched (technically it launches in 10 minutes from when I scheduled this...) If you didn't see when this was originally announced, this is about as stacked an anthology as you'll ever see. You'll find stories by Terry Brooks, Matt Dinniman, Christopher Paolini, Jim Butcher, Peter V Brett, Mark Lawrence, Anthony Ryan, Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, Lev Grossman, and a lot more, including a story by me! With 36 authors, the anthology will have a massive 832 pages...

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  1. The Kickstarter launches at 8am PST today (10 minutes from when this email was scheduled to send). There are benefits to backing in the first 48 hours, and limited copies of some of the more expensive/rare editions.
  2. The goal of this anthology is to raise money for Peter Orullian's medical expenses. On that note, I want to mention that Peter has become a personal friend of mine. He's an amazing person, and he deserves our support. The American healthcare system is cruel and punishing. But until it gets fixed, I'll do what I can to help a friend.
  3. The book is already finished.
  4. There is a wide range of price options. While you can get the ebook for $15 and the audiobook for $30 (narrated by Travis Baldree), there are pricier options with varying degrees of rarity. The base hardcover (unsigned) is $50. There are a limited 2,000 copies of the fully signed edition ($250), and 78 copies of the rare edition ($1,000). There is also a partially signed Pacific Northwest Edition that'll be signed from the locals in the area here, including myself.
  5. There are nearly 9,000 followers on the Kickstarter page. If you want one of the fully signed copies, you may need to act quickly. I have a feeling they will sell out in the first hour or two.
