ABS Wheelspeed sensor: what is it?

Happy Tuesday !

Has the ABS warning light come on in your vehicle's dashboard? What does this mean?

ABS stands for "Anti-lock Braking System," and typically refers to a faulty ABS wheel speed sensor. A blown ABS fuse or a dead or dying battery could also cause the ABS light to be on in your car.

🤔What can you do to find the issue?

✅Instead of replacing everything until the warning light goes away, use a YOUCANIC scanner to scan and look for codes related to the issue, or keep reading here!

🤔How do you replace an ABS wheel speed sensor?

After you've figured out which sensor is faulty, jack up your car, remove the wheel on the side with the defective sensor, remove the faulty sensor, install a new sensor, put the tire back on, and remove the jacks. It's as easy as that!

Until next time, . Don't forget to share your repair story to empower other car owners to take on their own repairs! Just send us a few pictures and write a couple paragraphs about the problem you were experiencing and what you did to fix it! (You might even have a chance to win a YOUCANIC battery tester if you do!)

Best regards,
