I love Jason Mraz's music and his upbeat style. The lyrics are fun and uplifting. For me, his song 3 Things sums up active optimism. Unlike helplessness where people believe they can't change their life's circumstances after experiencing a series of negative events, optimism is about hope. No doubt life is filled with hardships, traumas, and setbacks. And some of us are given more than our fair share of difficulties to grapple with. Optimism is a belief that the future will be favorable. Not always and in every way. And not magically. But good things will come if we are willing to work for them and open to seeing the possibilities.  READ MORE>>

Be Still 🧘‍♂️️

One of my favorite parts of the day is the early morning when I have the kitchen to myself. After making coffee and feeding our dog (Jed Walker), I get a few quiet minutes to think and plan. And at the end of the day, it's incredibly helpful to reflect on the good things that have happened and to set my intentions for the days ahead. Sometimes I jot down a few of my thoughts in a journal. Admittedly, I need to be better about writing them down; thoughts and intentions are all too fleeting if we don't write them down.
