Well-being Boosts Our Pets Can Teach Us
When our dog, Jed Walker, was just a pup I would find him waiting to greet me when I returned from work. Every day he’d be perched on our ottoman looking expectantly toward the entrance. As soon as I walked in the door and placed my work items aside, he would leap in a happy dance towards me. Having been a dog owner for decades, I can personally attest to how dogs are truly amazing and serve as great role models.

I highly recommend A Million Miles in a Thousand Years: What I Learned While Editing My Life by Donald Miller. It's a great book. Miller muses on life and the human condition and uses the elements of story to describe how people can paint a different picture of their lives. Miller realizes that the majority of his life had been spent watching stories and making them up. He decides that he will turn his life into a story worth watching, moving from writing stories to living them.
