As we start our week with our plans, worries, challenges, things we've got to figure out and make happen despite the odds — what we truly need is favor. Some call it luck, or when the "universe aligns." I call it God going before me in all things and making what I never could make happen, happen. There's nothing that unlocks the favor of God like love.

It looks like pouring into that person who is silently struggling, when no one's watching. Connecting with the anxious and squeaky wheel on the team who always makes meetings run over. It's asking John the Jerk to lunch so he can talk about himself and all he's done, and patiently listening (he's got to learn from someone). It's encouraging and pouring into the person you have nothing to gain from.

No matter where you are, or who they are, find someone to love this week.

So what is love?

It's showing patience, kindness, humility, agreeableness, collaboration, and being flexible and adaptable with those around you. It's also standing up for truth and justice (even for your enemy, because we stand on truth and not our feelings).

You've likely already thought of someone you can show one act of love to, but in case you haven't, let God highlight them this week and show them love. It may just mean bringing a second coffee and talking about their grandkids or kids. No matter what, find someone to love this week and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS. Favor will come to you in unexpected places and accomplish what your effort alone never could.
