Things happen when travelling

Hi there
Travel is never perfect, not for people like us who have travelled regularly for the last 20 years or people just starting with a love for travel.
Here are some things that have happened and gone wrong over the journey. There is probably more that I cannot even remember.
- We once ended up in the wrong city in China—the two towns were spelt similarly but 1000 kilometres away.
- We once left a bag of clothes on the roof of our car in Berlin. We drove away, never to see them again.
- When merging onto a highway, we nearly had a major accident with a truck in France.
- I have been to hospitals in Munich, Battambang and Phnom Penh. Bec has been to the hospital in DaNang and Marley in Batemans Bay and Hanoi.
- Marley and Willow presented the wrong passports at Nursultan in Kazakstan and were nearly detained.
- We missed a flight in Vietnam. I was sent an email to notify us of the change, which went to my spam folder.
- Missed a train in Paris to London. There was a fire in the Metro, and the line we needed to get to the train station was closed.
- We were summoned by border security in Tianjin, China, because I had left a lighter in our bags.
When you reflect on your travels, things like this stick out in your memory. No mistake can not be rectified. There is always the next plane or train.
