Are we ready yet?

Hi Everyone
It is only 2 weeks till we touch down in Prague. There are nerves, some worry and some serious packing that really needs to be happening!
This Europe trip is like the beginning of the end of our family travel experiences. This will be the first time we have travelled with only one kid and not two since our eldest daughter was a baby.
Our oldest daughter is nearly 18 and in her last year of High School. She can't spare the time off to come to Europe with us, and we have no foreseeable trips planned that include the four of us
In some ways, it's pretty sad to be leaving her at home, but I carry the memories of travelling with her dear to me. I remember sitting with her in her stroller at 10 months of age feeding pigeons in Amsterdam. I remember having hot chocolates on La Rambla in Barcelona with her, eating sausage for breakfast at Hofbrau in Munich, we went to the Rembrandt museum together and exploring the Great Wall of China and so many more.
She will have her own experience and adventures coming up soon enough. This is starting to really hit home and there have been some tears from one member of the family, but we won't mention who it is...we'll let you guess!
So, what are we taking on the plane for a 24-hour trip?
Flights from Australia to Europe are always a drawn-out affair, that's for sure. We will be taking headphones, mobile phones for music, and a Kindle for reading and in-flight entertainment. I recently bought a couple of things for the flight and the airport to try out.
Hoping this phone holder works as well as it looks, you can check them out on Amazon. I think they will come in very handy for budget flights where there is no in-flight entertainment offered.
.
We also picked up one of these, when you're waiting at the boarding gate for your flight there is often nowhere to put your drinks etc. This solves that problem with room for two drinks and pockets on the other side for your boarding passes.
There are many different designs available on Amazon to purchase
Here's my weekly update for April 22nd, 2023...
