Into the unknown
Mar 15, 2023 7:08 pm
During the week, we received an email via our Facebook Page (Do you follow our Facebook Page?) for a lady who told us we had inspired her to travel and had recently booked a trip with her teenagers. She said she was new to travelling and really wanted some advice on certain things.
Travel can be intimidating for many, stepping into the unknown is often scary when we are used to our 9 to 5 lives. We have our routines down pat, we know where we are going, we know where the best spots to eat are etc.
One of the things she wanted to know was what do we do when we land at a new destination. Do we take a taxi or public transport to our hotel? For us, we find it easiest to have a private transfer booked and waiting for us at the airport.
To be honest, we travel with more luggage than we really should, and when you have kids with you, it can sometimes be a hassle getting on and off trains with bags and then finding your way to your hotel.
On the way back to the airport, you can usually take a train because you will have become more familiar with your neighbourhood, know where the nearest train station is etc.
Don't let the unknown put you off travel, yes it can be scary, but the reward far out ways the unknown. We are always here for our readers and happy to answer any questions you have, just email us at mark.wyld@wyldfamilytravel.com or bec.wyld@wyldfamilytravel.com
