Do you use travel insurance?

Do you use travel Insurance when you travel Overseas?

As you know, we travel regularly. Last year, we travelled three times internationally, this year, we will travel four times internationally. This means we must purchase travel insurance regularly, which adds up over time.

I tried to circumvent this recently by getting a Qantas Credit Card that included "So-called FREE TRAVEL INSURANCE". Yes, they are correct, and yes, it does include free travel insurance, but you will only be covered if you do NOT have any pre-existing conditions, no matter how small or insignificant.

It always pays to read the fine print. My answer is that I will not activate the credit card and will be cutting it up instead. This is typical of how Qantas runs these days. Free insurance is the big selling point of the card. How many poor people have been caught up in the travel insurance clauses?

Google is back to its old tricks of updating what appears in the search results when you look for information. I have just been checking a few of our blog posts that used to rank number 1 and are now down in position eight and even on the second and third pages. Google teaches you that you can never take your position in Google search for granted. They can easily take it away just as they give it to you.

Those who follow closely will know that our daughter, Willow, lives in China. This week, she had to make her first Visa run out of the country. You can get a tourist visa for China for 12 months or longer, but you must leave the country every 60 days.

Willow high-tailed it to Seoul, South Korea, for a night and a haircut during the week. She reported no trouble coming back to China with immigration the next day.

Enjoy,

Mark, Bec, Willow and Marley
