The United States is still celebrating Independence Day today on July 5th as a Federal Holiday. (Most people outside of DC may not realize that, but due to all the Federal jobs, its clear there is a "day off".)
TL:DR;
- New forums on WPStudio
- A double-header WordPress Loop on Wednesday
This Week at WPStudio.com
- There are a number of updates and behind-the-scenes sections of the WPStudio website being put together. One of the things to know about is that there is a members-only forum on WPStudio.com now. My goal is to allow the community to have greater access to support, communication, publicly add questions, and continue conversations. After numerous testing and conversations, having a forum is SO MUCH better than simply enabling a complex comment system. Currently, the forums are members-only and can be reached here as well as the drop-down menu under "My Account".
- There is one specific topic I'd love to get feedback on. I ask a question about WPStudio expanding the usability of the current Cbox Live Chatroom (with channels and other advanced API stuff), or fully implement the Discord channel as much as possible, or not use any tool and just take advantage of the flexibility offered by forums. The main question I ask is "how important is live chat" and you can respond in this thread.
- On Wednesday, July 7th at 1:00 pm & 2:00 pm we will dig into the current state of the WordPress Loop and look at new functionality of the query and output that might affect your client work. At 1:00 pm on YouTube / Facebook, I'll be introducing the idea and concept of the WordPress Loop. You can join the fun on this channel. Then at 2:00 pm, the membership of WPStudio will be back on a private Zoom meeting. We will continue the investigation of looking at the WordPress Loop, what is it, and how can it help our WordPress website to be more creative and dynamic. You can register for the Zoom event here.
