Friday Recap - Lots of New Content on the Site

I hope everyone had a great week. It was a busy time here at WPStudio.com and I wanted to catch all the members up on what has happened so nobody misses out.

Live Webinars

1. On Tuesday, I walked through the VocePress v1.3 release and all the new features and enhancements.
2. On Wednesday, I started to dig into the plugin Gutentor that provides a "page builder" experience inside the Block Editor (Gutenberg). If the membership wants more in-depth webinars on this plugin, please let me know.
3. Finally yesterday, I walked through the key features (outside of the developer changes) in WordPress 5.8.

Blog Posts

• The usefulness of commenting in your CSS and how to best comment.
• Quick overview of the VocePress White Label capabilities.
• My mini-rant on the frustrations of navigating the Block Editor blocks.
• Tutorial reminder on the Process of Enqueuing Assets in WordPress.
• Overview of the 15 most-used Image File Types

Note: I've re-initialized the WPStudio blog, but also brought back the comments.

Highlighted Forum Conversations

• Because WPStudio re-opened the membership (more on that next week), we've started seeing new members showing up. So I started a "Welcome to WPStudio" thread where I'm hoping both long-term members and new members will introduce themselves so that as I open up new areas of the community like the Office Hours and After-Hours Hangouts, people will start to get to know each other.
• The GPL ShareBox has received a ton of updates and additions this week.
• I also rolled over the WPStudio.com site to the new VocePress theme.

Upcoming Training Events

I'm busy adding the upcoming month of training events (both members-only and public events) to the calendar. But here is a sneak peek of a number of the topics:

• Harnessing the Power of the WordPress Maintenance Mode
• Advanced WordPress Permalink Management
• So is WordPress Code REALLY Horrible?
• Debugging Performance Issues in WordPress
• How Many WordPress Keyboard Shortcodes Do You Use?
• DangerZone: Recovering from a Hack
• Discover Inspiring Color Palettes for your Website
• Do People REALLY use WordPress for "REAL" Sites?

I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to reading a number of your posts in the welcome forum thread. I'm working the weekend on rebuilding the account profile area on WPStudio, so you may see some changes occurring.
