A bold vision to create sustainable and diverse workforce development for the $7 Trillion Cloud & AI ecosystem started 6 months ago with RV College of Engineering in India. Great news! 62 young women have graduated in 5 months. Plus, 30% of them are exploring job opportunities through the WIC ecosystem.

Our goal: Develop 10,000 young women to become Cloud & AI certified and create access to fulfilling enterprise job opportunities.

On August 10th, Women in Cloud was honored to host a global delegation for an interactive session to celebrate the successes of Women In Cloud Center of Excellence at the RV College of Engineering (RVCE) in Bengaluru, India!

• This global collaboration came together with the support of various RVCE departments and teams from Microsoft, Boeing, Accenture, Hue Tech, Meylah and others who value engaging with the Women in Cloud ecosystem.

• The celebration started with a welcoming song and a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony that marks the center's official inauguration with Global delegation.

• Morning speakers led by Maria Defante, Senior Manager at Microsoft shared powerful stories and the impact WIC activities at RVCE have had on their lives and career trajectories.

• Afternoon activities focused on student interactions and included a Q&A with Bishakha Jain, Vinay Kumar and Chaitra Vedullapalli that highlighted opportunities available in Cloud Technology and the need for upskilling.

• An executive women's leadership panel including panelists from Boeing, Microsoft and Accenture, made space for the sharing of professional journeys and the varied challenges experienced, along with advice and wisdom gained.

• A celebratory high tea concluded the public events where conversations held sentiments of empowerment, inclusion and sustainability.

• WIC ecosystem members finished the day with an Executive Dinner at the Sheraton Grand Brigade Gateway with networking and valuable conversations to achieve the bold vision.

This incredible milestone in the global WiC Community has furthered powerful conversations around collective action and the generation of economic access for women entrepreneurs and professionals. The emphasis on achieving these goals through global partnerships with corporations, community leaders, and policymakers united by the ESG and UN Sustainable Development Goals resonated throughout the event. WiC is proud to be facilitating these efforts driven by job creation, diversity and inclusion, technology

innovation and sustainability.
