These are our dreams at Way Off Broadway:

  • Fun, high-quality educational programs where kids and teens build performance skills and confidence.
  • A well-built, safe, inviting space to produce live theatre productions in Leander.
  • Event space for businesses, nonprofits, and families to host events of all sorts.

We have the space! And we need your help.

Directly behind Blue Corn Harvest, our new space is in a great location where we hope to bring all the above visions to reality.

The space isn’t built out yet, though. Even with the generous help of a talented architect, we’re still waiting on city permitting. At times, it’s felt like swimming upstream … through thick mud.

But we’re still swimming! We’re moving forward toward buildout, one step at a time. Plans are drafted. We have estimates.

And now, you can help. Let's talk about how.

It’s imperative that we build a space that’s both usable and safe for our performers and our patrons. As you probably know, construction these days costs a pretty penny!

Way Off Broadway doesn’t have employees. We don’t pay our directors, technicians, designers, or actors. We exist thanks to volunteers—and on our community’s generosity.

That’s why we’re asking our friends in the community to donate, whether it’s a little or a lot, toward a wild, exciting, scary, inspiring goal:

$100,000.

Your generous donations will go toward’s Way Off Broadway’s continued operations. With your help, we hope to meet all the goals I started this email with—and to pivot where needed. We commit to you that we’ll be scrappy, creative, and frugal, honoring your generosity by striving to put every dollar to its best use.

Whether you can give $10 or $10,000, thank you for donating generously!

One more thing!

MERCHANDISE

We also have new WOBCP-branded merchandise, from t-shirts to water bottles and more! Every purchase includes a generous donation to the theatre.

Of course, monetary donations help us the most, but we hope you’ll also grab a piece or two of WOBCP merch!

Here’s that donation link again. Thank you for keeping the magic of theatre alive for all of us and for Leander’s future generations.

With gratitude,
