We've been working on some things that might interest you. This newsletter is packed with updates, so let’s get to it!

Demo status

As you know, we’ve been working hard on a playable demo for players to try. The demo has a dual purpose: first, to showcase what Choose Cthulhu Files has to offer, and second, to gather player feedback. This input is crucial to ensuring Choose Cthulhu Files meets expectations.

So, first of all, we’re excited to announce that we expect to have a playable demo ready by the end of May 2025! And we also wanted to share the current state of the demo with you.

We've already designed all the characters needed for this first demo, as well as all the scenes for the game’s intro and the demonstration section of one of the storylines you'll be able to experience.

Additionally, we’ve been working on multiple internal aspects of the game to fix bugs and improve the overall experience. Right now, we’re in the "assembly" phase, putting together the scenes and conducting internal playtesting.

We can't wait to finish it so you can try it as soon as possible!

Indie Games Show

We also wanted to share that this year we’ll be participating in several events where you’ll get to know us better and see more of our work on Choose Cthulhu Files.

We’ll be remotely attending the Indie Games Show in Málaga, where we’ll talk about our experience developing an indie game and showcase some Choose Cthulhu Files gameplay live.

El Rincón Jam

We’ll also be physically attending El Rincón Jam 2025 in Gran Canaria, where we'll give a talk on indie game development and be available throughout the event to chat about Choose Cthulhu Files, game development, Cthulhu, Lovecraft, and whatever else comes up!

That’s all for now… or maybe not. We’re preparing for an event that we’ll reveal in due time, where you’ll have the chance to play Choose Cthulhu Files if you attend. We’ll share more details as soon as we can!
