🎾 the 4 coaches who shaped my game

Hi ,

During a recent conversation with one of my tennis clients, she asked me which coach had the biggest impact on my career.

Looking back, I realized that my tennis journey was shaped by 4 coaches, each influencing me differently.

I started late by some standards - at the age of 12 - but my first coach was my father. He didn’t have formal training in coaching tennis and took a rather tough approach to teaching my brother and me.

Then came my second coach, a young sports teacher fresh out of college, eager to make a name for himself. He was great at getting groups of kids started with tennis. But by the time I was 14, after winning a match against him, I knew it was time to move on.

High school was a turning point. My parents sent me to a boarding school with an intense tennis program. There, I trained under two remarkable coaches:

- One was an intelligent man who made us think deeply about our decisions on the court, and how they related to life. He was fascinating to listen to on our way back from practice.

- The other, later in high school, was socially awkward but an excellent player and coach. He amazed us with his effortless technique, making tennis look so simple.

After high school, I took a break from tennis during college.

When I returned, I dedicated myself to studying and improving my tennis skills, learning from online resources and coaches I considered mentors.

Because I’ve always enjoyed sharing what I’ve learned, I created WebTennis24, where players and coaches can access everything I know about the game:

➡️ Training All-Access Membership – Lessons, drills, tips, and strategies for players of all levels.

➡️ Coaching All-Access Membership – Drills and lesson plans for private sessions, groups, and camps.

➡️ Master Pass All-Access Membership – Instant access to everything I’ve ever created (3,000+ video lessons, drills, and tips).

Since I’ve shared my story about my coaches, I’d love to hear yours!

How many coaches have you had, and was there one who made a significant impact on your game?

Looking forward to your reply.

Until then, have a great day!
