🎾 [new] fixing the western grip (my daddy / my coach)
Mar 02, 2026 12:01 pm
Hi ,
I just released a new video showing how I helped my 9-year-old daughter, Bianca, fix a common issue: her forehand and backhand grips were "moving" toward a Western grip.
Because the ball bounces high for kids, she began sliding her hand under the racket.
This created plenty of topspin but caused her to lose significant power.
In this 10-minute lesson, I show you the specific "bevel" adjustments we used to get her back on track.
This video is a preview of My Daddy / My Coach - Lesson #30. While the YouTube version is 10 minutes, the full lesson is about an hour long and available at WebTennis24.
