Here is a recap of our message from this weekend...

The Time Is Now: It's Time to Move Mountains

Pastor Jared's sermon titled "It’s Time to Move Mountains" challenges us to activate our faith and trust in God. Using Matthew 17:18-20, he reminds us that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains if it is plugged into the right source—Jesus. Faith is not about getting what we want but trusting in God's way, even through life’s greatest obstacles.

Weekly Bible Study List

  1. Matthew 17:20 - "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
  2. Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
  3. Matthew 5:14 - "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."
  4. Mark 9:29 - "This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting."
  5. Mark 11:24 - "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

3 WAYS THAT WE TAP INTO THE POWER OF FAITH

  1. Our Faith Must Be Plugged In - The first principle of mountain-moving faith is that it must be "plugged in" to the right source—Jesus. Too often, we place our faith in our jobs, relationships, or even ourselves. When those sources fail, it’s not faith that fails, but the object we trusted. Only by plugging into Jesus can we access the power needed to move mountains.
  2. Our Faith Must Be Planted - Like a mustard seed, faith grows when it is planted. It’s not enough to believe; faith must be put into action. Using the analogy of seeds and gardening, Pastor reminds us that we can't expect to see transformation if we never plant our faith. Mountain-moving faith requires both belief and action.
  3. Our Faith Must Be Protected- For faith to grow, it must be nurtured. Just as seeds need the right conditions to flourish, our faith needs spiritual disciplines like prayer, fasting, and community. Pastor Jared shares a personal story about a cattle farmer who shared a powerful lesson when he taught Pastor that you can't feed off of something that's starved. In the same way, we can starve our faith and then ask it to feed us when we're hungry for a blessing.

From Sermon to Action

Faith is about trusting God’s plan, even when we face mountains like addiction, broken relationships, or financial hardship. If we want to see miracles, we must plug in, plant, and protect our faith, allowing God to move the mountains in our lives.
