Honeydew Sorbet
Summer’s here and there’s nothing more refreshing than to cool down with some delicious and healthy sorbet! For this recipe, we used honeydew, but we encourage you to have a play with your favorite fruits. We’ve had success with blueberries and cantaloupe, too.
Serves 4.
Ingredients:
- 1 honeydew melon, chopped 1” chunks
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)*
Instructions
- Put 1” honeydew chunks into a pyrex and freeze for 4-6 hours until frozen.
- Once frozen, put the honeydew chunks into a high power blender or food processor with the lemon/lime juice and sweetener* (maple syrup or honey)
- Blend until smooth.
- Put it back into the freezer for 30 minutes until it sets.
- Scoop and serve. Enjoy!
*Depending on the fruit, additional sweetener may not be necessary. Try the sorbet without sweetener first to see if you need it.
