I've had a lot of people reaching out and asking how mum's surgery went on Monday, so I just wanted to give you all an update...
It went great! She can see for the first time in years.
She has only had the right eye done, for now, and has to wear a patch over it for the next 28 days. But she takes the patch off every 3 hours, even through the night, to put eye drops in, and when she does, she can see.
She's told me that we need to cut the grass, she has some decorating she wants to do (she was blind when she moved into her house), and she asked why no one told her that their dog was 'ugly cute' - he's adorable - just look at that face!
She's back to the hospital in 28 days. All being well, she will get the left eye done shortly after.
