Thank You, From the Bottom of My Heart 💜

Dec 01, 2025 2:36 pm

Hello from Wales

I wanted to take a moment to reach out and thank you all for the incredibly kind emails, messages, and condolences you sent. Your words have meant more than I can say. I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to reply to everyone individually, but please know that I have read every single message, and each one has been a real comfort during a difficult time.

We are still in the process of clearing his house. It's a strange process dealing with someone's belongings, and in some ways makes us feel a little heartless, disposing of things someone took a lifetime to collect. We had the funeral last Tuesday, and it was truly lovely. My daughter, Jennifer wrote a beautiful poem for the service, which I’ve attached below for those who would like to read it.

On a brighter note, I wanted to share that Lucie, my father-in-law’s dog, has settled in with our family. She’s doing so well. She’s even getting along with the rest of our pets. Although, she does still occasionally chase our cat, Lily.

Thank you again for being such a kind and supportive community. I’m grateful for you all. I promise my next email will be a bit more cheerful.

To try and get a bit more in the festive spirit, I've found a lot of Holiday themed book fairs to share with you (links below), and at the very end there's a couple of books.

As always, happy reading!

Jennifer's Poem for her 'Bampi'

(Just posting this here started the tears off again!!!)

A few weeks have passed since we last heard your heartbeat,

Since I held your warm hand in mine,

While we gathered around you, sharing our stories of you;

All the moments, smiles, and laughs we will hold so dearly.

You were always loved; that’s plain to see.

You were always there, steady and strong,

The one we could turn to when we needed a laugh.

You’d lend a hand without a thought,

Always giving more than you got.

You taught us kindness, humour, and courage,

And left your mark in every place.

I will think of you often; the tears will still fall.

Clearing out your house was the hardest,

Seeing all the small parts of you around,

But if anything, that reminded me you’re still here with me.

Thank you for all you’ve given;

Your love will never be forgotten.

What I wouldn’t give to be there, holding your hand again;

One more cheeky grin, one more piece of advice.

But for now, I’ll settle for photos and small reminders of you,

The ones I’ll hold close until I see you again.

I love you, Bampi, forever and always.

WOW! THAT WAS A LOT (I'm impressed if you've made it all the way down here!!!)

BOOKS I PROMISE TO SHARE!

I went to the mountains to escape the noise. I didn't plan on getting trapped with a growly, possessive stranger.

I booked the cabin for a digital detox. Mandatory relaxation to cure my city burnout. But the mountain had other plans. A blizzard hits, the power dies, and my only chance of survival is the massive, scarred recluse living next door.

Beck is everything I shouldn’t want. He’s grumpy, rude, and looks at me like I’m a nuisance he can’t wait to get rid of. At least, until the lights go out. Then, he looks at me like I’m the only thing keeping him warm.

He carries me through the snow like I weigh nothing. He warms me up by the fire with hands that are rough, skilled, and impossible to resist. He says he’s dangerous. He says he’s "poison." But when the storm rages outside, the only place I feel safe is wrapped in his arms.

The snow is melting, and the road back to my real life is clearing. But this mountain man has staked his claim. And he’s not letting me go.

imageShe rescued a stray. He’s anything but tame.

Paige Daniels prefers dogs to people. Dogs don’t ghost you, judge your life choices, or care about unshaved legs. So when she finds a massive, injured husky mix in the woods during a storm, she does the logical thing. She loads him into her van, patches him up, and puts him in her ex’s hideous yellow bumblebee sweater.

Big mistake.

Because her stray isn’t a dog at all. He’s Travis Reese, an Alpha wolf shifter with enemies closing in, and a growl that rattles her bones. And he remember everything she said when she assumed he was just a big, fuzzy dog.

Now he’s holed up in her tiny apartment, eating all her food, insisting he’s her protector, and looking at her like she’s already his mate. Paige doesn’t need a broody Alpha claiming her…

But her heart (and her traitorous knees) might disagree.

This novella length story is perfect for fans of: funny fated mates, sunshine/grump chaos, and heroes who would absolutely wear a ridiculous sweater for their girl.
