Speaking of flying off the handle...

As you know, in my last email, I mentioned that I was in Birmingham, after having driven over 100 miles from my home in Wales, for my mum's operation.

Well, we got there and it was cancelled. No fault of my mum's. They had booked the wrong room. Instead of phoning to tell us, they sent a letter, which of course, was through the letterbox when we arrived back home later that day.

I was furious!

Thank you for all the well wishes. She's now booked in for the 5th June, so I'll save them for that date :)

In other doctor news, my father-in-law was due a hip replacement last week on the 11th. After what happened with mum, he phoned to make sure all was okay. The ward said, 'see you at 11am'. So we dropped his dog off at the kennels (she can't stay with us as we have 3 cats and she does not like cats), and took him in. We stayed in touch throughout the day getting updates, and then at 5pm, he called saying his operation had been cancelled and to pick him up. The Doctor was abroad and not going to be back. His and the operation of 4 others was cancelled as a result.

We're doing well!!!

He's booked back in for the 8th June - so that week in June is going to be lots of fun!

I'll let you know how everything goes. Hopefully, we'll have a better result this time.

Writing wise, as well as working on the next Eira Snow mystery and the Fae Stalker Chronicles, I am working on a paranormal romance. As this book will feature sex a bit, I am debating publishing it under a different pen name and would love your thoughts on the matter.
